La Galería is currently showing the 2025 Bobcat Art Show through Saturday, May 17. La Galería will then close for UC Merced's Summer Session and will reopen in Fall 2025 (Date TBD). 

HOURS

Open 10 AM - 1 PM and 2 PM - 6 PM, Tuesday - Saturday. Closed during university holidays and breaks.

Parking

Weekdays - Paid Parking

Pay-by-Text parking is available in the Green Zone of the Bellevue Lot – Simply text "PARKBELL" to 727563 when you arrive to campus.

$2 2-hour parking permits are also available for purchase at kiosks throughout the Bellevue Lot, and most debit and credit cards are accepted – click here for more information

Parking in the Green Zone of the Bellevue Lot is monitored from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday - Friday.

Weekends - Free Parking

Parking in the Green Zone of the Bellevue Lot is not monitored on Saturdays and Sundays. 

Public Transportation

La Galería is accessible via Merced's public bus system – click here for more information on routes, schedules, and rates.

La Galería follows the UC Merced guidance on masking and precautionary measures related to COVID-19.

Restrooms are available nextdoor on the first floor of the Ruiz Administration Center.

 

About the Collection

The Permanent Collection at the University of California, Merced, features artwork by California artists, with a high level of focus on artists from and working in California's Central Valley. The Collection is intentionally comprised of artwork by artists at a variety of career levels, from established artists who have been actively working for decades,  to early-career artists who have displayed impressive talent at a young age. The Collection also features artwork in multiple mediums, including oil & acrylic paintings on canvas & panels, watercolor paintings, serigraph & linocut prints, sculpture, and mixed media.
