Film Screening: El Ojo Comienza En La Mano - a film by Yehuda Sharim

Friday, February 9th, 6:00PM at La Galería

RSVP required

El Ojo Comienza En La Mano (2022) is a tribute to campesino histories in rural CA through the artwork of an artist largely absent from critical conversations on Chicanx art, Ruben A. Sanchez, as well as an unsentimental reckoning with the fate of many cultural workers that struggle between paying rent and/or creative endeavors.

Live Q&A Panel discussion will take place after the film screening with Yehuda Sharim, Ruben A. Sanchez, Lorena Alvarado, and Richard Gomez.
