Merced Symphony Association Spring Concert: Magnificent Mozart

Arts UC Merced Presents has a long history of providing support to local arts organizations, including the Merced Symphony Association. The April concert closes their 61st season showcasing two brilliant symphonies by Mozart, paired with a beautiful piece by late-romantic composer Cécile Chaminade. The program begins with joyous Symphony 29, written in 1774 by then 18-year-old Mozart, goes on to Chaminade’s lyrical and charismatic Concertino for Flute, one of the best-known pieces in the flute repertoire, and ends with the exuberant energy of ‘Jupiter,’ Mozart’s last, longest, and most celebrated symphony.

This event will be held at the Merced Theatre
